Château Compassant

Château Compassant
Château Compassant was acquired by Jean-Luc Thunevin, a wine merchant and owner already well known in the Bordeaux region, and always on the lookout for the finest parcels. Château Compassant is located in Génissac in the Entre-deux-Mers region. The Château Compassant vineyard is planted on a superb clay-loam terroir. The wine undergoes the same meticulous care as at Château de Valandraud, also owned by Jean-Luc Thunevin.

Château Compassant 's grape varieties are 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification is carried out by Guillaume Quéron, and is completed by a 12-month ageing period in entirely new oak barrels, resulting in an AOC Bordeaux wine of the quality that Jean-Luc Thunevin imposes on all his estates.
