Château Fonchereau
Château Fonchereau depended as a noble house on Château Lamothe, as did the surrounding châteaux of La Moune, Puymiran and Taillefer. Today, it is run by three Mexican friends with a passion for wine.

The vast residence of Château Fonchereau commands an estate of 50 hectares: 30 hectares of vines in a single block, 20 hectares of woods and meadows. The very structure of the estate, protected by the surrounding forest and well exposed, generates a remarkable microclimate that protects the vineyards from hail and frost. These natural advantages are complemented by the high viticultural quality of the clayey gravel soils, whose gentle slope facilitates rainwater runoff.

Château Fonchereau 's vineyards, which are managed like a garden, are meticulously tended, with respect for the terroir and the practice of sustainable agriculture as the watchwords. The estate is advised by oenologists Gilles Pauquet and Stéphane Toutoundji.

Notes : Bettane & Desseauve 14/20, Best Rosé Wine in Terre de Vins
The nose of
Fonchereau Rosé distills very fine aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry and a few amylic touches of English candy. The attack on the palate is fresh, greedy, with a nice roundness and fullness. The finish is on red fruit with good length. Lots of harmony and finesse!

Château Fonchereau 2010

Note : Bettane & Desseauve 15/20 (Bonheur tout de suite)
This white Bordeaux, with its bright yellow color and green highlights, offers a fine nose, with aromas of exotic fruits (pineapple), lemon and white flowers. A 100% Sémillon from very old vines, it is full-bodied, smooth and round on the palate, lively and well-balanced, with a fruity finish, good aromatic persistence, a hint of liveliness and freshness...

Note : Guide Hachette 3***(Exceptional wine)
"A highly expressive 2010. Fresh fruit mixed with floral and spicy nuances make up a complex, intense bouquet where the woodiness remains discreet, a sign of totally mastered ageing. On the palate, the attack is frank and invigorating. A perfect balance of fruity freshness and woodiness, with peppery notes and a solid, elegant structure. The label doesn't lie, this wine has all the makings of a Grand". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)
