Georges Cordier, the grandfather of the current owners, was very fond of white wines. He would probably have appreciated this lovely cuvée, which is very aromatic with a lively, energetic personality. A bright, fruity white on the palate, it reveals itself to be complex, with a rich structure and beautiful volume. A highly recommended Bordeaux! • Delivery in wooden crates for orders of 6 bottles of this wine delivered in France •

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
This estate, one of the most popular in the Médoc, still belongs to the Cordier family. It produces an abundant harvest, which has gained in strength and definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal of Saint-Julien, with its generous bouquet, great stability, and reliable aging potential. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and lively, continues to be produced under the Caillou-Blanc label. The intelligent work carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a cleverly modernized vat room and cellar is bearing fruit.

Note and opinion by Mr. PIERRE C. Published on February 2, 2014
The first bottle was more reminiscent of a Meursault, as the richness dominated and overwhelmed the freshness of the Sémillon. Back to normal with the second bottle: freshness dominates, followed by richness. Overall, it's good, but too "Burgundian" for a Bordeaux.
