Georges Cordier, the grandfather of the current owners, was very fond of white wines. He would probably have appreciated this lovely, highly aromatic cuvée, with its lively, nervous personality. A lively, fruity white on the palate, which reveals itself to be complex, with a fat structure and good volume. A highly recommendable Bordeaux! - Delivery in wooden crates for orders of 6 bottles of this wine delivered in France.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
One of the Médoc's most justly popular estates, it is still owned by the Cordier family. It gives rise to an abundant production, which has gained in definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal saint-julien, generously bouqueted, very stable and sure to age. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and nervous, continues to be produced under the caillou-blanc brand. The intelligent work carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skilfully modernized vat room and cellar is bearing fruit.

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
This strong brand, rightly appreciated by connoisseurs, has made a strong comeback, now making the wines we've come to expect from it. Equipped with modern, high-performance equipment and skilfully managed, Nancy Bignon-Cordier's vast vineyard, managed by Jean-Michel Laporte, is returning to the glory of its past, producing wines that are more subtle and refined than ever. A flamboyant wine, archetypal of the great classic Saint Julien.

The first bottle was more reminiscent of a Meursault, as the fat dominated and overwhelmed the freshness of the Semillon. The second bottle is back to normal: the freshness dominates, then the fat. The whole is good, but too "Burgundian" for a Bordeaux.
