Château Haut-Ballet
Château Haut-Ballet is now in the hands of Olivier Decelle, a man with a true passion for vines and wine. In 1999, he took over the destiny of the remarkable Mas Amiel estate (Roussillon), turning it into an undisputed success and making it world-renowned. A few years later, this passion led him to the Bordeaux region, where he took over three estates with prestigious pasts: Châteaux Jean Faure, Haut-Maurac and Châteaux Haut-Ballet (AOC Canon-Fronsac), located in some of the finest terroirs on Bordeaux's right and left banks.

An in-depth reorganization, unfailing rigor in the cellars and vineyards, and the talent of their new owner, surrounded by a team of passionate people, have restored these estates to their former splendors. The entire vineyard of Château Haut-Ballet, located in the Canon-Fronsac appellation area, is managed using integrated farming methods. Leaf thinning, de-budding, green harvesting and tillage between the rows of vines are used to ensure optimum yields and grape quality worthy of these prodigious Bordeaux terroirs.

Notes : Guide Hachette 2**(Vin remarquable) + Coup de Coeur, Bettane & Desseauve 15/20
"Everything is there: a sustained, dense color; a complex, harmonious bouquet of red berries, lightly toasted; an ample, velvety, fleshy palate, carried by tight but "civilized" tannins. We'd love to taste it today, but this great wine deserves a little patience and will be fully appreciated in three, four or more years. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins). A must-have from the Libourne region!

Château Haut-Ballet 2009

Château Haut-Ballet cuvées are the result of the encounter between a pure limestone terroir (in the Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac quarries) and a unique grape variety, merlot. This is an intense, full-bodied 2009, with beautiful red fruit aromas and remarkable oak. A Libourne must-have!
