"Gold medal at the Lyon International Competition!
"Lots of cocoa powder and dark chocolate on the nose here, blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant on the palate. The palate adds licorice to red fruit flavors. Supple and fleshy. Very approachable." (James Suckling 2018)

Domaine noté (guide 2011) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
This well-managed estate demonstrates real rigor in its harvests and selections. The wine is full-bodied and elegant, and the continuous improvement in production is evident in the latest vintages, with the guidance of Stéphane Derenoncourt. The wines are supple and harmonious, requiring three to five years of cellaring. The owners also own Château Haut-Bernat, in the Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion appellation.
Jancis Robinson
Wine rated (2016 guide ) 15.5/20

Red fruit, a hint of oak on the palate that also dominates the finish with flavors of clove and nutmeg. Round, succulent, smoky.
