success story

"A Cérons in all its glory: freshness and balance."

The 2018 vintage tested the team's patience. The first six months of the year were marked by incessant rain and mild temperatures. On July 15, the vintage took a 180-degree turn with a very hot summer marked by drought. The harvest lasted from late August to late October, with the grapes ripening beautifully. The unusually long harvest without rainfall allowed the team to pick grapes on demand. The harvest lasted from late August to late October, with the grapes ripening beautifully. The exceptionally long harvest without rainfall allowed us to pick the grapes at the perfect moment. In the cellar, the juices are very consistent and have a beautiful color. It is therefore a unique vintage which, despite the extreme conditions, is in line with the great years.

Food and wine pairings

Aperitif, appetizer, cheese dishes, and desserts... The magic of an aromatic palette that unfolds throughout a meal: open a well-chilled bottle for the aperitif and let the wine warm up as the dishes are served, until dessert, when the wine will be at room temperature. Enjoy with prawns, mushrooms, poultry, cheese, dried or fresh fruit, and of course with a good foie gras...

About wine:

Bright yellow with green highlights. The nose is elegant, with restrained fruit, apricots, peaches, lemon zest, candied orange peel in the background, as well as notes of vanilla. The palate is well-structured, with good tension and very good length.

Elegant bottle. Intense yellow color turning to straw gold. On the palate, a basket of fruits where beautiful apricot flavors dominate, alongside exotic fruits and candied citrus fruits. In the background, subtle notes of vanilla, honey, and caramel highlight the careful vinification and long barrel aging. The result is a 2018 Cérons that is deep and dense from the outset and characterized by roundness, finesse, and style throughout. I love how it gains strength at room temperature, as recommended by 1J1V! A wise and less expensive alternative to classic Sauternes wines. A taste of the holidays for an aperitif with whole semi-cooked Périgord duck foie gras on toast.

A great wine, complex and long on the palate...worthy of its neighbor, Sauternes!

Very pleasant. Not too round, with good acidity on the finish. I really liked the nose of this wine.
