Cérons Castle
Château de Cérons is based in a 17th-century winegrowing chartreuse on a terrace overlooking the Garonne in the heart of the village of Cérons.
Xavier and Caroline Perromat took over management of the family estate in 2012. Since then, one project follows another, with the replanting of vineyard plots, refurbishment of the winery, notably the concrete gravity-fed cellar, and the opening of Château de Cérons to visitors. The entire estate team is committed to raising the quality of its work and the wines produced in one of Bordeaux's most confidential and oldest appellations, Cérons.
The Château de Cérons vineyard comprises 30 hectares planted on the gravelly plateau with its limestone subsoil that dominates the commune. This terroir, with its unique soil and climate, offers the privilege of producing wines in three colors: red Graves, dry white Graves and Cérons, Bordeaux Gold wines.
Emblematic of the Cérons appellation sweet wines, Château de Cérons passionately defends this confidential appellation, the smallest in the Gironde, which is highly prized by wine lovers.

"A Cérons in all its splendour: fresh and balanced".

The 2018 vintage played with the team's phlegm. The first 6 months of the year were marked by incessant rainfall and mild temperatures. On July 15, the vintage took a 180-degree turn with a very hot summer marked by drought. The harvest lasted from the end of August to the end of October, with a very fine ripening of the grapes. grapes. The exceptionally long harvest, with no rainfall, made it possible to harvest à la carte. à la carte. In the cellar, the juices are very homogeneous and have a beautiful color. This is an unprecedented vintage which , despite despite the extreme conditions, in the tradition of great years.
