"A dazzling, lively vintage!

2008, a vintage with a capricious climate, alternating between hot and cold weather, including a frost in April which just made it possible to lighten the load on the grapes at Yquem. load of grapes at Yquem. This was followed by a cold, dry period in September, leading to slow ripening of the Semillon grapes. reveal an undeniable aromatic purity; a happy alchemy that translates into a subtle combination of richness richness and rare vivacity. - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 1 bottle of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Terroirs

Clay-gravel soils, limestone subsoil with marine asteria. The nature of the soil on the limestone bedrock of Cérons gives it a fine acidity that perfectly balances its concentration.

Harvest

Exclusively hand-picked by successive selections. The grapes are picked after over-ripening and the progressive invasion of Botrytis Cinerea, the fungus responsible for the natural concentration of the grapes (noble rot). Botrytized berries are mostly harvested at the "roasted rot" stage, to achieve the aromatic balance and freshness characteristic of Cérons wines.

Eye

Attractive, deep straw yellow color, clear and brilliant with golden highlights.

Nose

Notes of honey, ginger and dried apricot on the nose, with a hint of candied lemon and papaya.

Mouth

Gourmet attack, with notes of date paste, honey and orange peel characteristic of the mineral terroir of Cérons. The nature of the soil on the limestone bedrock of Cérons gives it a fine acidity that wonderfully balances its concentration. The wine is taut and airy, with elegant, fine aromas of acacia, honey and passion fruit. Beautiful concentration and lots of energy.
