Château Roc de Cambes
Château Roc de Cambes is owned by François Mitjavile, who also owns Château Le Tertre-Rotebœuf in Saint-Émilion.

Château Roc de Cambes is located on the first slope of the appellation, some 300 m east of the Bourg citadel. The vineyard sits on a clay-limestone terroir in the heart of a hillside amphitheater, and the Château features a magnificent 14th-century cellar.

Château Roc de Cambes wines are dense in color, rich and full-bodied, with good ageing potential. They are particularly prized by wine merchants and connoisseurs, who unanimously recognize the quality of this estate.
Atypical, this wine is highly sought-after, and its price tag stands in stark contrast to other Côtes-de-Bourg Châteaux.

"An irresistible vintage, an explosive beauty!"

"The 2019 Roc de Cambes has revealed itself brilliantly, offering aromas of blackcurrant, sweet berries, cigar wrapper and rich spices, followed by a full-bodied, layered, elegantly muscular, deep and concentrated palate, its fleshy core of fruit framed by ripe acids and ripe, powdery tannins. This isa fine vintage that is likely to trample on 2016. Despite its modest appellation, don't hesitate to cellar it, as Roc de Cambes is invariably better integrated and more interesting with a decade on the clock than on release." (Wine Advocate 2022). Domaine de Cambes - Cambes 2010

This Roc de Cambes terroir produces a Bordeaux wine with a lovely dark garnet color, a bouquet of red fruits, a delicate hint of violets and great elegance. A supple yet concentrated red, with lots of fruit on the palate, very fleshy. Enjoy with red meat, for example...
