Château Laclaverie
Château Laclaverie, which means "the key", has been worked with talent and rigor by Nicolas Thienpont since 1985. Château Laclaverie is unquestionably one of the finest estates in the Côtes de Francs region, and has contributed to its revival in recent years.
Located at the entrance to the commune of Saint-Cibard, the Château Laclaverie vineyard comprises 7.5 hectares of 100% Merlot vines planted on clay-limestone, marl and silt soils, with a clay subsoil. The vines are cultivated using grass cover, leaf thinning and thinning out, and harvested by hand.
The varied soil, a blend of marl and silt, gives Château Laclaverie wines body, finesse and balance, with a great aptitude for ageing.
