Château Les Charmes-Godard
In 1988, Nicolas Thienpont, already owner of Château La Prade and Alcée, bought Château Les Charmes-Godard, a rare estate producing only dry white wine. The 5-hectare vineyard benefits from a soil composed mainly of clay and limestone, with some loam on marl subsoil.

The teams take care to use the techniques used to create great white Bordeaux wines, such as yield control, de-budding, leaf-thinning, thinning and green harvesting. Thanks to its quality, it is one of the mainstays of the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The wines of Château Les Charmes-Godard have a rare intensity and vivacity.

"One of the best whites in the appellation!

"Fresh and lively, clean and crisp, it has a good balance between succulent and juicy, almost sorbet-like, with creaminess and suppleness. Good persistence and intensity, no mid-palate dip and a joyful lift on the finish." (Decanter 2022) - Definitely one of the best dry white wines in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux appellation!
