Château Bellevue (Fronsac)

Château Bellevue (Fronsac)
Château Bellevue and Château Haut-Ballet (Canon-Fronsac) form a single 12-hectare estate. Owner Olivier Decelle applies the same rigor and precision that have made his famous Mas Amiel in Roussillon so successful. In 2007, Hubert de Bouard, owner of neighboring Château Angelus, acquired half the estate. As a result, Château Bellevue wines benefit from a combination of experiences that can hardly be faulted.

Château Bellevue benefits from the Fronsac AOC. The vineyard, planted at an altitude of 80 meters above the Dordogne River, is located in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac and rests on a bedrock of pure limestone that gives complexity and minerality to the wine. The Château Bellevue vines, planted in 1970, are exclusively Merlot.

Château Bellevue 2006

Château Bellevue and Château Haut-Ballet (Canon-Fronsac) form a single 12-hectare estate. Owner Olivier Decelle applies the same rigor and precision that have made his famous Mas Amiel in Roussillon such a success. The 2006 vintage boasts a rich, fruity nose, with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry... A fine introduction to the subject!
