"A delicious Graves emblem!

" Bright and lively in the glass, zesty and sharp, yet so well balanced with intensity and sweetness, we get the vivacity and energy, but also the complexity of the flavors - lemon, pineapple, apricot and peach - sharp, almost tart, so zesty and zesty in the glass that shines through. This wine is extremely aromatic and flavorful, with a persistence that lasts throughout the tasting. I also like the touch of honeyed lemon that hides beneath the more pronounced acidity. A solid effort" (Decanter 2023) - Wooden case delivery available for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Rated wine (guide 2022) 90-91/100

Estate rated (2018 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

This brand, which combines the first names of Florence and Denis Dubourdieu, has benefited from the know-how and savoir-faire of the famous Bordeaux oenologist who sadly passed away in 2016. The whites, which express more the astonishing minerality of a limestone terroir than the varietal aromas of local grape varieties, are incomparable. We also produce a small quantity of reds, which are meticulously crafted and now match the perfection of the whites. These are undoubtedly the stars of the appellation! The wines, both red and white (the white being better known because of its anteriority), verge on perfection, whatever the vintage. Great minerality, racy aromas of great purity, volume, elegance, freshness and irresistible balance for the white. The reds, classic and elegant, are up to the challenge.

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

Well-known to wine lovers, this estate is the work of the pope of Bordeaux white wines, oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, who passed away in 2016. For many years, Clos Floridène has been one of the appellation's undisputed leaders. The most astonishing aspect of its production lies in the profound classicism it expresses: far removed from the heavy caricatures of woody, overly exuberant whites often found in ambitious Bordeaux châteaux, Floridène white is a slender, straightforward wine, devoid of artifice, of crystalline purity. The red, an original expression of Cabernet-sauvignon on limestone, possesses the same distinguished elegance. These wines are ideal for cellaring for several years.

About the wine:

This full-bodied, ripe wine has great acidity and well-balanced ripe white fruit. The wine is spicy, full of fruit and promise, and finishes with a hint of freshness. Drink from 2024.

Vinous A. Galloni

Vinous A. Galloni

Rated wine (guide 2022) 90-92/100

About the wine:

Clos Floridène Blanc 2021 presents an endearing, well-defined bouquet of vibrant citrus fruits complemented by white flowers. The palate is very well balanced, with fine delineation, and quite taut. A touch of tangy lemon lends energy to the finish. A delicious dry white Bordeaux.

Terre de Vins

Terre de Vins

Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100

About the wine:

For this new vintage, we find an invigorating wine with generous notes of pink grapefruit and white flowers. With liveliness as its backbone, the palate recalls the acidulous, greedy notes of apricot, with plenty of freshness and minerality. A fresh, racy wine that awakens the taste buds.

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100

About the wine:

Nuances of maracuja and mango in the Clos Floridène bouquet. Slightly saline on the attack, the wine seems to me quite wise for a 2021, but it has good density and the liveliness takes care of the freshness on the finish. 2024-2037

Rated wine (guide 2022) 90/100

About the wine:

Pale color. Intense, fine, fruity and pure nose. Delicate on entry, silky to the touch, the wine melts all the way through the palate, greedy, elongated, subtle in its flavors and fragrances. Very good. Excellent ageing potential.
