"In 2008, the Guignards acquired this 28-hectare cru, formerly owned by the Lur-Saluces family (Yquem). It's a jewel, just as they said it would be. Voted "Coup de Coeur" last year, this Graves Rouge repeats the feat. The result of a blend dominated by Merlot (66%), it's acclaimed for its deep color and straightforward bouquet of cherry, plum, licorice and spice; the palate is no exception, round, ample and generous, underpinned by silky tannins. The long finish recaptures the complex aromas of the olfactory experience. A lasting harmony". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

About the domain :
The Guignard brothers, Bruno, an oenologist, Dominique, an agricultural engineer, and Pascal, with experience in South Africa, continue the work of previous generations. Established in the southern Graves region near the imposing Château de Roquetaillade, built for a nephew of the Gascon Pope Clement V, they manage several crus.

Very good: a pleasant nose and a light taste that pleased my partner, who doesn't usually like Bordeaux wines. I recommend it to everyone!
