Château Doyac is located on the limestone bedrock of Saint-Seurin de Cadourne. On these beautiful south-facing hillsides, with drainage completely redone in 1998, Max de Pourtalès produces a Grand Vin of character (close to the best St Estèphe), combining structure and finesse.
Château Doyac 's 80% Merlot terroir also confers a remarkable roundness, making it a worthy representative of the great wines of the Médoc (close to the best St Estèphe and adjoining Châteaux Sociando-Mallet and Charmail).
