Château Bellevue de Tayac

Château Bellevue de Tayac
Château Bellevue de Tayac, in the Margaux appellation, was bought in 2004 by Jean-Luc Thuvenin, a wine merchant and then owner already well known in the Bordeaux region. The new owner invested heavily in the estate's development. The first vintage following the purchase of Château Bellevue de Tayac was entirely produced by Guillaume Quéron (Château Fleur Mongiron) with the help of the Banton-Lauret company.

The 3.5-hectare Château Bellevue de Tayac vineyard is planted on a gravelly hilltop over clay, with the soil worked to encourage rooting. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, in small crates. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats for the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and in barrels for the Petits Verdots. The blending and care taken throughout the winemaking process at Château Bellevue de Tayac result in a very fine, concentrated Margaux with both density and freshness.
