Château Le Coteau is one of the last family estates in Margaux. It extends over 12 hectares on Garonne gravel soil. Since 1993, owner Eric Léglise has worked his vines with respect for biodiversity. And more, Château Le Coteau stands out thanks to the many flowers planted between its rows of vines. These provide insects with a large ecosystem.
In addition, Eric Léglise uses agroecological methods such as composting, shredding vine shoots and late mowing. Thanks to all these efforts, Château Le Coteau has nearly 200 species of animal living on its estate. Three wines are produced on the estate: Château Le Coteau, Château Laroque and Les Abeilles Solitaires, each with a different profile, allowing visitors to discover the diversity of the terroir and the know-how of the estate.
