In 1748, the Maréchal-Duc de Richelieu, François-Antoine Pouget, took over the estate, which took his name: Château Pouget. In 1855, the Château Pouget enters the history of great Bordeaux wines by becoming the fourth Grand Cru Classé de Margaux.
Château Pouget has been run by the Guillemet family since 1906. An experienced technical director, Lucien Guillemet makes every effort to ensure that his wine expresses the beauty of the prestigious gravel soils. In particular, he ensures optimal harvest dates to deliver the full finesse of the Margaux terroir.
The vineyards of Château Pouget The vineyard is run in a reasoned manner: no chemical fertilizers, respect for the vine's vegetative cycle, green harvesting... This enables the production of Château Pouget Margaux 4th Grand Cru Classé and its second wine, Antoine Pouget.

"The 2015 Pouget caused the biggest surprise of the entire blind tasting. [...] The 2015 has an earthy, undergrowth-tinged bouquet, a little disjointed at first but merging with aeration while remaining classic in style. The medium-bodied palate offers black and red fruits, fine tannins and well-judged acidity. Full of tension and balance, leading to a chiseled finish. Excellent. " (Vinous N. Martin - 2019) - Wooden case delivery on orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).
