Château Haut-Maurac
Château Haut-Maurac is owned by Olivier Decelle, a true enthusiast for vines and wine. In 1999, he took over the destiny of the remarkable Mas Amiel estate (Roussillon), turning it into an indisputable success and making it world-renowned. A few years later, this passion led him to the Bordeaux region, where he took over three estates with prestigious pasts: Châteaux Jean Faure, Haut-Ballet and Château Haut-Maurac (AOC Médoc), located in some of the finest terroirs on Bordeaux's right and left banks.

An in-depth reorganization, unfailing rigor in the cellars and vineyards, and the talent of their new owner, surrounded by a team of passionate people, have restored these estates to their former splendors. The entire vineyard of Château Haut-Maurac, located in the Médoc appellation area, is managed using integrated farming methods. Leaf thinning, de-budding, green harvesting and tillage between the rows of vines are used to ensure optimum yields and grape quality worthy of these prodigious Bordeaux terroirs.

Château Haut-Maurac 2008

Notes : Le Point 15/20, RVF Spécial millésime 2008: between 15.5 and 17.5/20
Château Haut-Maurac, managed by Olivier Decelle, is on a par with the progress he has made at his other properties (Châteaux Jean-Faure and Haut-Ballet and Mas Amiel in Maury): to make it one of the benchmarks of its appellation. The challenge has been met with this powerful, aromatic and delicately oaky Haut-Médoc from the excellent 2008 vintage.
