Château Branas Grand Poujeaux
Château Branas Grand Poujeaux has been owned by Justin Onclin since 2002, and benefits from the expert advice of oenologist Hubert de Bouärd, also co-owner of Château Angelus. Located in Moulis-en-Médoc, Château Branas Grand Poujeaux is adjacent to the famous Châteaux Poujeaux and Chasse Spleen.

Château Branas Grand Poujeaux enjoys a fantastic terroir which it shapes with great precision. The vineyard now comprises 20 hectares of vines, since the acquisition of Château Granins Grand Poujeaux, planted on a terroir of Günz Garonne gravel on the Grand Poujeaux plateau. The parcel-by-parcel approach to cultivation means that each vine is cared for by hand. Vinification uses modern techniques designed to extract the very best from the grapes while respecting them. Finally, the wine is aged for 16-18 months in new barrels, with a carefully measured selection to respect the character of each vintage.

In just a few years, with strength and freedom, Justin Onclin has built a refined, modern estate. Château Branas Grand Poujeaux wines are powerful and elegant, and their quality bears witness to the excellence of the work carried out.

"Second wine of the Château

Complex and intense, the nose of Les Éclats de Branas Grand Poujeaux 2019 features notes of ripe fruit and spices, with a lovely freshness. Well-built and opulent, the palate is rich and powerful, elegant with fine tannins and a well-balanced finish. Try with oven-roasted rack of veal...

"It is positioned as a Grand Cru Classé (Neal Martin)".

"The 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux, grown at 39 hl/ha, has a delicious bouquet of black cherry, raspberry and beautifully defined light cedar aromas that gently unfold in the glass. The saline palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and slightly spicy. The harmonious, silky-smooth finish is irresistible. Buy it. (Vinous 2021). A great Moulis! Delivery in wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).
