"It is positioned as a Grand Cru Classé (Neal Martin)".
"The 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux, grown at 39 hl/ha, has a delicious bouquet of black cherry, raspberry and beautifully defined light cedar aromas that gently unfold in the glass. The saline palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and slightly spicy. The harmonious, silky-smooth finish is irresistible. Buy it. (Vinous 2021). A great Moulis! Delivery in wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Expert opinion
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2020 guide) 89-91/100 (Wonderful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux opens with notes of cedar chest, cherry cough syrup and menthol, giving way to a core of crème de cassis and fruitcake with a hint of hoisin. Medium- to full-bodied, the palate has a generous amount of fruit and a solid structure of robust tannins, and continues with a touch of spice. A little old-fashioned, but very well done!

Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The 2019 is just as full-bodied, but with a slightly fresher finish, it balances out very well.
About the domain :
Conveniently located between Chasse-Spleen and Poujeaux, on the Grand Poujeaux plateau, the château has enjoyed a new lease of life since it was bought by Belgian Justin Onclin in 2002. The estate, which boasts a remarkable terroir, has equipped itself with all the technical facilities needed to make a great wine, and for several vintages now has been offering one of the most seductive and charming Moulis ever made.

About the wine:
This is a very solid Moulis, with spices, nutmeg and redcurrant on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and mellow. It has depth of fruit and structure. Drink after 2023.
