Le Figaro
"An excellent wine with lots of potential for great tasting and long cellaring!"
"Its magnificent purplish-red color is an invitation to travel. The seductive nose confirms the bewitching scents of candied cherry and cedar. Full attack, then a sapid palate with very fine tannins, citrus fruit, stone and black zan flavors, very racy, concluding with a very long, saline finish. Refined but well-marked character. Long cellaring assured. (Terre de Vins 2020) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
A new, ultra-modern vat room, luxurious and efficient, demonstrates the ambitions of new owner Jacky Lorenzetti. He clearly wants to produce one of the finest wines in his appellation, and has acquired very high-quality terroirs, close to Mouton-Rothschild, which should help him in his ambition. The technically brilliant wines are improving with each new vintage.
Decanter
Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
Smoky blackcurrant, cherry and fragrant plum on the nose. Floral, open and generous in aroma and flavor on the palate, with delicious juiciness and overall liveliness. This wine has a tight spine with a vein of spice and minerality, as well as a firm tannic frame that puts you squarely in Pauillac - you can taste the salty stones of the terroir. An excellent wine with plenty of potential for great drinking and long ageing. First official vintage in organic conversion. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 2026 - 2043
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their real estate agency network (Foncia) and bought this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. They undertook major work in the vineyard and cellar (construction of a new winery by Jean-Michel Wilmotte) to restore the reputation of this cru, founded in 1810, whose vineyards now cover some 50 ha following the acquisition of new plots.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 94-96/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
As the years go by, the vintage gains in refinement, and this 2019 results in a very fine-grained wine. Very pure, brilliant in its expression of fruit, it draws its strength from a very sapid, juicy finish.
About the domain :
It's undoubtedly one of the most spectacular developments in Bordeaux in recent years. Pédesclaux, acquired by Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009, has undergone a spectacular, state-of-the-art facelift, from vineyard to cellar. Under the leadership of Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, the wines have progressed steadily, vintage after vintage, little by little. They are now more than worthy of their classification and, above all, have established themselves as remarkable value for money.

About the wine:
This wine is truly floral and beautiful, with aromas of lavender, lilac and blackcurrant that follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with firm, creamy tannins and a savory finish. Very racy, refined and structured. Linear. Best after 2024.
Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
A nose of pure red fruit and strawberry jam, with fleshy, intoxicating notes of tuberose, which combine with mineral aromas. On the palate, the subtle energy of biodynamic viticulture shines through. Generous, fresh notes of ripe black fruit evolve into cocoa, dark chocolate and kirsch cherries.

Wine rated (guide 2021) 94/100
About the wine:
Intense, fresh bouquet marked by spicy, fruity nuances. Inviting, refreshing notes of blackcurrant, raspberry and gingerbread. On the palate, the wine confirms the olfactory freshness. Vigorous, with fine, powerful tannins that slowly reveal themselves on the palate. Fruity finish. A wine that shines with power, finesse and relevance. It just needs to channel its energies... which it will be able to do during its cellaring! 2026 - 2049
Vert de Vin
Rated wine (2020 guide) 94-95/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, structured and racy, with a fine straightforwardness. Notes of blackberry, ripe blackcurrant and, more lightly, wild raspberry are combined with hints of strawberry, morello cherry and licorice, as well as a subtle touch of blueberry, violet and very discreet hints of tonka bean, cardamom and vanilla/toasté. The palate is fruity, racy and offers greediness, juiciness, precision and fine grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, strawberry and, more lightly, juicy plum, combined with hints of juicy/puffy raspberry, violet and very fine hints of cocoa, nutmeg and vanilla. Good length.
