Château Carbonnieux
Château Carbonnieux is an ancient Bordeaux structure. The Carbonnieux family name first appeared in the early 13th century, with lands located in Léognan under the blessing of the Abbey of Sainte-Croix.

Regarding the succession of former owners of this château, the bourgeois Ferron family was the first to live there from 1519 to 1730. The property was then handed over to Benedictine monks until the arrival of the Revolution. Chateau Tour Leognan received its Grand Cru de Graves classification around 1953. It is renowned for its Bordeaux wines, white wines, and red wines. Today, Carbonnieux wines have six Crus Classés de Graves. These are located within the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Geographically, the property covers an area of 170 hectares of land, including 92 hectares of vineyards in the Bordeaux region. Over time, these lands have continued to improve the quality of the wines produced, year after year.

Two large plots of this 170-hectare area are occupied by vineyards. The distinctive feature of the wines produced at Château Carbonnieux lies in the presence of a naturally drained Garonne gravel terroir, which depends on a tertiary base with clay-limestone characteristics.

It should be noted that the vineyard producing Carbonnieux wines adopts sustainable farming practices that respect biodiversity. As such, producers avoid the use of any insecticides or weedkillers that could weaken the vines' natural defenses.
