Wine rated (2020 guide) 93-94/100
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Here again, we applaud the welcome return to the rather original style of the crus' whites, which are softer, with more Burgundian-style notes of floral honey. Immediately accessible.
About the domain :
For a long time, this cru was famous first for its white wine, one of the most complete in Léognan, then also for its red, at its best one of the most brilliant illustrations of the Pessac-Leognan character. The last decade has seen the return of Fieuzal Blanc to its highest level. The new, ultra-efficient winery, with its many small vats of varying capacities, in concrete, stainless steel or wood, now enables director Stephen Carrier to produce haute-couture.

About the wine:
The nose reveals pineapple, mango and greedy, expressive aromas of exotic fruit. Good impact on the palate, a lovely blend of lemon and creamy pastry. Good balance and harmony, no flash or overexertion, but such weight and dynamism on the palate with crisp apples, honeyed lemon and hints of orange. Energy and acidity. Delicious. To be enjoyed between 2024 and 2044.

About the wine:
A terrific effort with this 2019 de Fieuzal Blanc. It offers inviting aromas of nectarines, candied citrus, white flowers and subtle custard notes. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, with an enveloping core of fruit, lively acids and a saline finish. This is a charming, beautifully balanced wine that punches well above its weight.

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
This classified growth, located just south of Léognan, produced some of Bordeaux's finest whites in the 1980s. After being sold to Banque Populaire in 1994, Fieuzal declined until 2001. It was in this year that Irish businessman Lochlann Quinn acquired the estate, then hired Champagne's Stephen Carrier as its director. From that moment on, the cru returned to an excellent level, with a clear quest for body, elegance and tannin in the reds, and freshness now with the arrival of consultant Thomas Duclos. With failures (2013) and great successes (2008), the whites are gradually returning to their full, intense, ageable character.

About the wine:
Sample tasting. Famous for its white wine, this estate has produced another impressive vintage. It offers a great balance between greediness and tight mineral texture, giving it balance and longevity. The nutmeg flavors come from wood aging. It should keep well.

About the wine:
Complex bouquet with notes of lime blossom and acacia, followed by nuances of lemon balm and papaya. On the palate, the wine displays salinity on the attack, but also fullness and roundness. Elegant, fruity and already approachable. 2022-2030
