Château Haut-Bailly
Château Haut-Bailly was born in 1630, the brainchild of a Parisian banker, Firmin Le Bailly. But its history was strongly influenced in the 19th century by an extraordinary figure: Alcide Bellot des Minières, who brought scientific rigor to its management and pushed the quotations up to the level of those of the "Premiers Crus". After him, various owners followed in his footsteps.

Daniel Sanders acquires Château Haut-Bailly in 1955, and set about restoring the vineyard to its original size and equipping it with the equipment and tools essential for producing quality wine. Since 1979, his son Jean Sanders has taken over and completed his work. Their distinction, bouquet, fatness and color, as well as their good development and staying power, make the wines from Château Haut-Bailly wines of great breed, worthy of being placed in the first rank of the great wines of France.

The current owners, Robert and Elisabeth Wilmers, are determined to focus on quality at every stage of wine production and selection. Visit Château Haut-Bailly was indeed one of the very first to produce second wines, since it was in 1967 that the finest lots lacking the desired structure for the first wine were marketed under the name : "La Parde de Haut-Bailly".

"A seductive nose that gives the sensation of carrying a basket of red fruits ready to jam, with also some vegetal, herbaceous, springtime notes. On the palate, the elegant hold and creamy texture that characterize the first wine are just as present here, with a sophisticated, chocolate finish." (Le Figaro Vin 2022)

"The 2016 Haut-Bailly is a medium to deep garnet-purple color. The nose opens with beautiful floral notes of violet and lavender accented by earthy notes and chips of crushed stone over a core of kirsch, blackcurrant and wild blueberry. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, it presents successive layers of red, black and blue fruits mingling with earth and mineral notes to culminate in a very long, perfumed finish." (Wine Advocate 2018). Delivery in wooden crate for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).
