"A high quality white that lasts ~ La RVF "
"Oily texture but a gorgeous juicy core with bright acidity and notes of ripe green apple, creamy peach and slightly bitter orange and grilled lemon on the finish. The acidity is excellent and really supports the wine. Well-built, with plenty of nuance, interest and cellaring potential." (Decanter 2023)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
This cru classé is a model of family ownership, with all the Kressmann children showing an almost filial attachment to their estate and very sound management. The reds have gained in tannin finesse and textural elegance. The wines are classic, with the emphasis on fruit, tannin quality and freshness. Under the guidance of the very talented and rigorous Valérie Vialard, the whites are irreproachable, precise, aromatic and perfectly lively.

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
With its pretty gold color and green highlights, this 2021 presents itself with elegance. On the nose, it reveals fine aromas of yuzu, white flowers and toasted wood. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral and saline, with a good fatness that adds to its silky, gourmet character. A very harmonious whole. 2024-2028
About the domain :
While many of the great names of the Bordeaux wine trade have chosen to establish themselves in the Médoc, the Kressmanns have opted for the Graves and this cru, acquired in 1930, which owes its name to a tower adorning its courtyard, a vestige of a château built in the 12th century by ancestors of Montesquieu. This beautiful 50-hectare estate is renowned for both its white and red wines.

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
This is a fine example of a family estate, still in the hands of the Kressmanns, a historic family of Bordeaux merchants. Today, Tristan and Loïc Kressmann are at the helm of this well-situated cru classé on the Martillac plateau. The different generations have respected the heritage handed down, while making progress in vineyard management and winemaking with their cellar master, Valérie Vialard. The château inaugurated a new vinification cellar for red wines with the 2019 vintage. Without yielding to the siren calls of passing fashions, the wines have retained their elegant, precise style, but are gaining in density. This convincing balance between tradition and modernity, together with the particularly distinguished character of recent vintages, leads us to award Latour-Martillac a second star.

About the wine:
Crafted by the Kressmann family, this wine is bursting with ripe fruit and textured acidity. It's still young, with a hint of yeast and spice from the wood ageing. Drink from 2026.
James Suckling
Wine rated (guide 2023) 93/100
About the wine:
Nose of smoked gooseberries, shellfish minerality, waxed lemons and cream. Bright and lively on the palate, with good fullness and mineral tension. Saline, concentrated and long. For drinking or cellaring.
Terre de Vins
Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100
About the wine:
Like its colleagues in the appellation's white Crus Classés, this 2021 vintage reveals delicate notes of white flowers and lively citrus fruit. It's this tension on the palate that makes the pleasure last, with a long finish on notes of lime. A refreshing wine.
The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve
Wine rated (guide 2024) 94/100
About the wine:
Flowers, green apples, vanilla, lemon cream and pineapple create a seductive perfume. Vibrant, racy citrus, white peach and tangerine fill the palate and follow through to a long, lively finish. Drink between 2024 and 2034.
