Château Latour-Martillac
Château Latour-Martillac, a Graves Grand Cru Classé, owes its name to the Tower that adorns its main courtyard. Located in Martillac in the Bordeaux region, Château Latour-Martillac produces top-quality red and white wines in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The estate has been owned by the Kressmann family since 1871.

The vineyards of Château Latour-Martillac are planted on a terroir composed of a mosaic of gravel, clay and limestone outcrops. The vines are carefully nurtured and harvested by hand, then carefully transported to the winery to avoid premature oxidation. Château Latour-Martillac 's Pessac-Léognan wines come in whites, made from Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle, and reds, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Whatever the vintage, Château Latour-Martillac offers wine lovers the very best of the Pessac-Léognan terroir.

"A high quality white that lasts ~ La RVF "

"Oily texture but a gorgeous juicy core with bright acidity and notes of ripe green apple, creamy peach and slightly bitter orange and grilled lemon on the finish. The acidity is excellent and really supports the wine. Well-built, with plenty of nuance, interest and cellaring potential." (Decanter 2023)

"This could be the best vintage ever! ~ Jeff Leve

"In view of the precision and definition displayed by this wine, one cannot help but notice this drive to get to the bottom of things and this ability to approach the 2020 vintage with obvious reflection. The wine is elegant, expressive and invigorating. With supportive, pertinent tannins, it underlines its excellent level and its ability to position itself at the forefront of the scene. What energy and sapidity! (Yves Beck 2022) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"Deep garnet-purple-colored Latour Martillac 2016 presents notes of warm plums, kirsch jelly and redcurrant on the nose, with hints of bay leaves, iron ore and black soil. Medium-bodied, with a well-supported attack of muscular fruit on the palate, it has a firm structure with a fine grain of tannins and superb freshness, finishing in a long finish." (Wine Advocate 2018) Great wine for laying down!

This vintage stands out as much for its whites as for its reds, which are very often judged to be remarkable (five "coups de coeur" in total, the last of which was for the 2005). The 2010 seems to be a little behind the times, even though it retains a very good hold. Round, lively and full-bodied, it seduces with its citrus and white flower aromas. It will make a very pretty bottle as soon as the toasty woodiness, present both on the nose and palate, has subsided. It would go well with a blanquette of monkfish". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins)

This is a most enchanting Pessac-Léognan: intense aromas of fresh fruit, citrus, white peach and exotic fruit. The soft attack on the palate evolves thanks to a lovely, unctuous vivacity, delicious and, above all, without heaviness. Its balanced, complex structure promises a bright future... Don't miss it!
