Château Le Thil
In 1990, Château Le Thil, which until then had no vines, was reunited with its 20-hectare A.O.C. Pessac-Léognan classified vineyard: "Le Château Le Thil Comte Clary". Located in the commune of Léognan, in the Bordeaux region, it was taken over in 2012 by Florence and Daniel Cathiard. Today, the vineyard comprises 12 hectares of vines, adjoining the famous Smith Haut-Lafitte cru classé.

The vineyards of Château Le Thil are planted on clay-limestone and gravel soils that are ideal for vine growth. The Château Le Thil vineyard is planted with Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc for the white wines, and Merlot and Cabernet Franc for the reds. Harvesting is traditionally done by hand. Château Le Thil wines are perfectly representative of the high quality of the terroir of the Pessac-Léognan appellation.

" Unusual for the appellation, this wine is 100% Merlot. Smooth and full-bodied on the palate yet retaining its elegance, it has tannins but they integrate well with the juicy black fruit." (Wine Enthusiast) Delivery in wooden case for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method).

Château Le Thil has a vineyard of some twenty hectares classified as A.O.C. Pessac-Léognan. Fourteen of these are devoted to the cuvée Les Reflets, produced on gravelly soil. A wine with fruity aromas (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant) and floral notes (violet, lilac). A hint of toast accompanies the peppery, vanilla notes. A cuvée well in tune with the times!
