"Dark purple color with violet highlights and a black core. Very elegant nose of ripe dark berries, plums and cherries, with hints of oriental spices and discreet smoky notes in the background. The palate is well structured with ripe tannins, plenty of freshness and great depth of flavor. A wonderful wine with excellent length. Seems to have moved away from the slightly reductive style of Château Olivier whites of recent years (perhaps I'm in the minority who miss this), bringing out fleshy flavors of citrus and lemongrass, accompanied by notes of spice and freshly cut herbs.
