Even in the sunniest vintages, the wines retain an admirable freshness. Mazeyres 2018 is a brilliant example of this, perfectly in line with this dynamic of fruit primacy. Already very appealing, the wine nevertheless has real potential for development.
About the estate:
Located at the northern entrance to Libourne, this large estate is managed by Alain Moueix. He applies the same cultivation philosophy here as he does at Château Fonroque in Saint-Émilion. The vineyard was certified organic in 2015, then biodynamic in 2018. Enhanced by the elegance and balance inherent in the Mazeyres terroir, the wines have reached new heights in recent vintages. We are captivated by these harmonious Pomerols, which are both refined and natural, with breathtaking finesse of flavor. The time has come for the first star.
