Château Clinet

Château Clinet is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, in the Bordeaux region. Situated on the best plots of the famous Gunz gravel terrace, the terroir of the greatest Merlots, Château Clinet is one of the most prestigious estates in the Pomerol appellation.

The vineyard is mainly planted with Merlot, supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The vines at Château Clinet are cultivated with respect for the environment, favoring soil cultivation and grass cover rather than chemical treatments, thus relying primarily on human labor. Gentle and sustainable cultivation of the land and vines produces grapes of exceptional quality. Investments in state-of-the-art viticultural equipment ensure that the soil and vineyards of Château Clinet are treated with the utmost respect. In addition, research into the terroir and the foliage of the vines enables a harvest plan to be established for each vintage.

Since 2009, the Clinet group, led by Ronan Laborde, has built a partnership with winegrowers on the Right Bank to produce accessible wines with the same generosity as Clinet but under the Bordeaux appellation. Ronan by Clinet then produced its first vintage.
