Château Langlais

Château Langlais
Along with Château Beauséjour, Château Langlais is one of the two properties that make up the Dupuy vineyards, which cover a total area of 25 hectares in the Bordeaux region. Gérard Dupuy creates his wines with passion, respecting tradition and nature. His creations are in his image: generous and simple.

The refusal to use chemical treatments dates back to the early days of integrated farming methods. The Château Langlais estate practices total grassing, a method that regulates the ecosystem in a region of monoculture while limiting soil erosion. Controlled by ECOCERT, the Château Langlais vineyards offer consumers every guarantee of organic production methods. A pesticide-free land, wild tulip bulbs flourish in the vine rows in spring. Château Langlais wine from the Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion appellation is aged in oak barrels for between 12 and 24 months, depending on the cuvée.

Château Langlais - Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion 2006

Château Langlais has 12 hectares of vines on the clay-limestone terroir that is so representative of the Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion appellation. All chemical treatments have been excluded since 1947, in favor of a culture based on respect for nature. A unique feature is the wild tulips that bloom in the middle of the furrows. The 2006 opens with notes of red fruit and flowers, and is round and pleasant on the palate. A wine to enjoy now.
