Andron Blanquet Castle
Château Andron-Blanquet had not changed hands since the reign of Louis XIII, until it was purchased by the Audoy family, who already owned its neighbor, Château Cos Labory.
This château is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estèphe. It takes its name from the village where it was built, Blanquet, associated with the name of a very old family from Saint-Estèphe, Andron.

The vineyard of Château Andron-Blanquet is located on the gravelly hilltop of "Cos," surrounded by the châteaux Lafite Rothschild, Cos d'Estournel, and Cos-Labory. This estate, historically classified as a "Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel," was welcomed into the Audoy family as the little brother of Cos Labory. Bernard Audoy and his family took up residence there. The principles of cultivation at the Grand Cru Cos Labory also apply to its younger neighbor. The vines are treated with the same care and both wines are produced with the same Grand Cru standards.
