Château Andron Blanquet
Visit Château Andron-Blanquet had not changed ownership since the reign of Louis XIII, until it was bought out by the Audoy family, already owners of its neighbor - Château Cos Labory.
This château is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estèphe. It takes its name from the village where it was built, Blanquet, combined with the name of a very old Saint-Estèphe family, Andron.

The Château Andron-Blanquet vineyard lies on the gravelly hillside of "Cos", surrounded by Châteaux Lafite Rothschild, Cos d'Estournel and Cos-Labory. This estate, historically "Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel", is therefore welcomed into the Audoy family as Cos Labory's little brother. Bernard Audoy and his family took up residence here. The educational principles of the Cos Labory Grand Cru also apply to its youngest neighbor. The vines are treated with the same care, and the two crus are raised with the same Grand Cru dynamic.

"A neighbor of Cos Labory and also belonging to the Audoy estates, this cru offers a wine with more modest ambitions than its prestigious "cousin", but which also possesses some attractive assets, starting with its inky purple-tinged color. The bouquet pleases with fruit, leather and vanilla aromas. Supple, fat and round, the palate is already charming. A bottle that can be enjoyed on its own or after three or four years of cellaring". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)
