Château Capbern Gasqueton
Château Capbern Gasqueton is part of Château Calon Ségur, located on the gravelly slopes overlooking the Gironde. Château Capbern Gasqueton owes its name to the Gasqueton family, who have owned it for over ten generations.
The Château Capbern-Gasqueton vineyard covers 38 hectares, of which 29 are in production (33 planted). The soil is gravelly-sandy, gravelly-clay and limestone. The grapes are harvested by hand, and yields are controlled to ensure optimum quality.
Château Capbern Gasqueton wines are made in the great Bordeaux tradition, and can rival certain Crus Classés.

85/100 Robert Parker
"Here, we don't sacrifice to fashion. This wine has retained the classicism of Bordeaux, which it expresses through a fine balance. Firstly, in the bouquet, with its successful combination of red fruit and toast; then on the palate, with its good fullness and silky tannins. Don't hesitate to wait a few years". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2010). A very fine Saint-Estèphe, now ready to drink!
