Château Tronquoy-Lalande

Château Tronquoy-Lalande was built in the 18th century to the plans of architect Victor Louis, who also designed the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux and the Palais Royal in Paris. Prior to its acquisition by Jean and Anne-Marie Arlette Castéja in 1968, the château was occupied successively by the Germans, the Americans ... and vacation camps! For forty years, Mme Castéja has been working to restore the estate and make the most of its exceptional gravelly soil. The vineyards of Château Tronquoy-Lalande extends over a terroir of deep gravel with a small amount of clay, and comprises 30 hectares of vines, averaging 30 years of age.
