Château Haut-Beychevelle Gloria
The Martin family, historic owners in Saint-Julien, have been running Château Haut-Beychevelle Gloria for over 3 centuries. It was thanks to this small 5-hectare estate that Henri Martin developed his passion for wine, who, like his father, was a cooper by trade.
In 1942, he began building Château Gloria with the purchase of a 6-hectare parcel belonging to Château Beychevelle. The estate now covers 50 ha. In the 1980s, he also acquired Château Saint-Pierre (4th Grand Cru Classé) and Château Bel-Air, a Cru Bourgeois in Haut-Médoc.
When he died in 1991, his daughter Françoise and son-in-law Jean-Louis Triaud took over the management of the estates, assisted by their children, Vanessa and Jean.

Cité Hachette
"Alfred Martin could be proud of the work of his descendants. This wine is a true Saint Julien, well-supported by fine oak. Beneath its intense color, it reveals an emerging complexity in its bouquet of spices, blackcurrants, violets and light tobacco. Elegant, full-bodied and well-balanced, the palate is supported by a fairly full structure for the year. A harmonious bottle". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017) Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).
