Château Lalande
The Château Lalande vineyard is located on the road to Beychevelle, in Saint-Laurent-de-Médoc, close to the Châteaux Talbot and Lagrange.
In 1954, Gabriel Meffre, a nurseryman and agronomist originally from Vaucluse, discovered the Médoc on a trade trip to sell Cabernet Sauvignon plants. He fell in love with the region and decided to invest in several estates. In 1964, he purchased vines from Château Lagrange to create Château Lalande.
Today, the property extends over a gravelly plateau with Alios subsoils, covering 31 hectares in a single block, with an equitable distribution of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is still managed by Gabriel Meffre's two sons, with the help of their children.

Château Marquis de Lalande - Second Vin du Château Lalande 2009
2.3/5 (3 reviews)
The second wine of Château Lalande, the Marquis de Lalande 2009 has a complex bouquet of black fruit and spices. With its elegant, slightly oaky structure, the palate is full-bodied and fleshy. An excellent second wine for red meats or soft cheeses!
