"Along with Château Rieussec, Suduiraut 2010 is a candidate for the best Sauternes of the vintage. It has a superb bouquet with an immediate sense of completeness and harmony, with layers of botrytized fruit, apricot blossom, peach skin and marmalade. It's powerful but not flashy. It doesn't need to be. The palate is balanced with a viscous attack. There's plenty of botrytis here, good acidity and enormous weight on the finish." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 17.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the wine:
Rich, roasted, unctuous, great allure, still a little massive, turns more to Barsac than Sauternes. Great future.
About the domain :
The estate now produces the great wines that its terroir allows, with perfect regularity and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It's hard to choose between the slightly more modern and exuberant Lion and the more classic Castelnau among the sweet second wines, as both are made without concession, with a lovely roasting of the grapes. In dry form, S has a little more density than the simple sec. Only Yquem can do a little better, especially when it comes to ageing.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2014 guide) 2**Stars (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
During the reign of Henri IV, Suduiraut was a medieval château, known as the "cru du Roy". Burnt down during the Wars of Religion, it was rebuilt in 1670, resulting in the magnificent château we know today, surrounded by gardens designed by Le Nôtre. In their image, this wine, fresh, full-bodied and powerful, plays the card of order, robustness and balance, avoiding any austerity. Very elegant throughout the tasting, perfectly balanced, powerful, rich, round, invigorated by a healthy freshness that stretches the finish, subtle in its aromatic development (flowers and white fruits, caramel, brown sugar, candied and roasted notes), it is already very pleasant while displaying serious assets for long ageing.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated (2012 guide) 19/20 (Exceptional)
About the wine:
The liqueur is certainly rich, but balances elegantly on the crunch of fruit and the acidity of citrus. The nose is intense and powerful, extending notes of tobacco, truffle, amber and candied fruit.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
This vast estate was bought by AXA Millésimes in 1992. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the crus of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a full-bodied nectar that ages very slowly, but which, in great years, approaches genius. Recent vintages have reached a very high level.
