"Phenomenal according to James Suckling & Extraordinary according to Yves Beck!"

"Dressed in sparkling gold, this Premier Cru Classé offers a bouquet that is already well established, combining all the qualities of a great Sauternes wine. Its sumptuous aromas of candied orange and mirabelle plum jam are underscored by a subtle, refined woodiness. After a dazzling attack, with mineral notes and surprising aromas of candied chestnuts, the palate impresses with its richness and finesse; it combines opulence with elegance, revealing notes of candied quince, orange, and melon. A very complete wine, unapologetically classic, whose concentration guarantees a happy evolution. (Favorite Guide Hachette des Vins - 2017 edition) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Reflects the duality of the vintage with a rich attack, a smooth body, and delicious flavors of pineapple, star fruit, and milk caramel. The tension takes over and leads to a fresh finish with notes of mandarin orange and white pepper.

Wine rated 98/100

Rated estate (2020 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)

About wine:

Close to the perfection of the Preignac style, combining a slightly fresher fruitiness reminiscent of the great Barsacs with the opulence of Haut-Bommes. Drink between 2023 and 2043.

About the estate:

The estate now produces the very fine wines that its terroir allows, with perfect consistency and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It is difficult to choose between the sweet second wines, Lion, which is slightly more modern and exuberant, and Castelnau, which is more classic, as both are made without compromise, with a lovely roasted grape flavor. Among the dry wines, S has a little more density than the simple dry wine. Only Yquem does slightly better, especially in terms of aging.

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the estate:

This vast estate was purchased in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to its geographically well-distributed vineyards, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, which, in great years, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high level.

Wine rated (2016 guide) 97/100

About wine:

This wine is phenomenal, with superb depth and texture. It is full-bodied and very smooth, but the lively acidity balances the wine. Creamy on the palate with phenolic nuances. Excellent finish. This wine has a bright future ahead of it. It will be even better in 2021, but it is already excellent.

Wine rated (2014 guide) 98/100

About wine:

Straw color and a lovely honey nose. The palate is supple and round, a little soft, but with beautiful substance and lovely complexity on the finish. Between 2017 and 2034.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 99/100

About wine:

Still brilliant! And this is only the beginning! This 2013 vintage shines with complexity and diversity. It stands out by creating an exceptional symbiosis between subtlety and richness, finesse and fullness. Smooth and creamy, the wine is above all fresh, harmonious, and carried by an acidity that will accompany it throughout its life. And that life is long. An extraordinary wine! 2028-2070
