The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve
"Phenomenal according to James Suckling and Extraordinary according to Yves Beck!
"Dressed in sparkling gold, this 1ercru classé offers an already assertive bouquet that brings together all the assets of a great Sauternes wine. Its sumptuous aromas of candied orange and mirabelle plum jam are underscored by a subtle, refined woodiness. After a dazzling attack, with mineral notes and surprising aromas of marron glacé, the palate asserts itself with its richness and finesse, combining opulence with elegance, with notes of quince, candied orange and melon. A very complete wine, with an assertive classicism, whose concentration guarantees a happy evolution". (Favorite du Guide Hachette des Vins - Edition 2017) - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Nose
Powerful, with exotic scents such as mango, as well as woody and spicy aromas with a touch of verbena.
Mouth
Reflects the duality of the vintage, with a rich attack and an unctuous, gourmet body of pineapple, carambola and milk toffee. Tension takes over, leading to a fresh finish with notes of tangerine and white pepper.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 98/100
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the wine:
Close to the perfection of the Preignac type, which combines a slightly fresher fruitiness reminiscent of the great Barsacs with the opulence of the Haut-Bommes. Drink between 2023 and 2043.
About the domain :
The estate now produces the great wines that its terroir allows, with perfect regularity and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It's hard to choose between the slightly more modern and exuberant Lion and the more classic Castelnau among the sweet second wines, as both are made without concession, with a lovely roasting of the grapes. In dry form, S has a little more density than the simple sec. Only Yquem can do a little better, especially when it comes to ageing.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
This vast estate was bought by AXA Millésimes in 1992. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the crus of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a full-bodied nectar that ages very slowly, but which, in great years, approaches genius. Recent vintages have reached a very high level.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2016 guide) 97/100
About the wine:
This wine is phenomenal, with superb depth and texture. Full-bodied and very sweet, but the lively acidity balances the wine. Creamy mouthfeel with phenolic nuances. Excellent finish. This wine has a bright future. It will be even better in 2021, but it's already excellent.
Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (2014 guide) 98/100
About the wine:
Straw color and lovely honeyed nose. The palate is supple and round, a little soft, but with great substance and complexity on the finish. Between 2017 and 2034.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (guide 2024 ) 99/100
About the wine:
Brilliant again! And that's just the beginning! This 2013 shines with complexity and plurality. It pulls out all the stops, creating an exceptional symbiosis between subtlety and richness, finesse and fullness. Suave and creamy, the wine is above all fresh, harmonious and carried by an acidity that will accompany it throughout its life. And it's long. An extraordinary wine! 2028-2070
The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve
Wine rated (2016 guide) 96/100
About the wine:
A superb wine! Luscious texture, fat, rich nose of honeyed tropical fruit, vanilla and candied lemon peel. Sweet and spicy on the palate, with a lovely fresh, honeyed finish of tropical fruit, vanilla and candied citrus peel.
