In 2017, the producers of the Burgundy" appellation, located in the Côtes de Beaune Beaune and Nuits obtained the complementary mention "Bourgogne Côte d'Or", thus becoming a Bourgogne Identifié en appellation appellation. Harvested in Marsannay, this white wine is pale yellow-gold in color. The nose evokes notes of lemon, almond, acacia flowers and hawthorn. The palate is fruity and well-coated, becoming more saline and lemony on the finish, with hints of licorice and brioche. A real delight!

Food and wine pairing

Its balance between roundness and freshness makes it an ideal aperitif with tapas, goose rillettes, poultry terrine, salmon toast and lemon cream. It also goes well with fine fish in sauce, buttered snails, poultry fillet with Parmesan, and soft, creamy soft cheeses.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

Philippe Huguenot is a pragmatist. Certified organic since 2013, he initiated this approach to enable his vines to regain the good rusticity he was no longer finding. Mechanical harvesting has also been abandoned. The estate is forging ahead, and its wines are increasingly elegant, with a pleasant fruitiness that seduces from their earliest youth. The acceleration in quality has been spectacular over the last few vintages. A man of rare kindness, with wines that reflect his image, he likes to welcome his customers to the cellar when many have closed their doors in the face of commercial success. The quality here is particularly consistent.

About the domain :

Since 1790, ten generations have succeeded one another on this 21-hectare estate, renowned for its Marsannay, Gevrey and Fixin wines. Philippe Huguenot took over from his father Jean-Louis in 1996 and launched the organic conversion of his vineyard (certification in 2013).

Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Heir to ten generations of Marsannay winemakers, Jean-Louis Huguenot, who died in 2019, produced technically irreproachable wines for a long time. More discreet, his son Philippe and his wife Valérie have given their wines more personality, without compromising their fundamental qualities. The range as a whole includes precise, solid wines, which have been certified organic since 2019, but over-ageing diminishes the nuances of terroir expression with dry finishes. We hope that Philippe Huguenot, now fully in charge, will change this style. Major renovation work on the winery and buildings is currently underway.
