Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve
Based today in Chassagne-Montrachet, Famille Picard was founded in 1951 by Louis Félix Picard, who owned 2 hectares of vines in the commune of Chagny. Michel Picard, his son, joined him a few years later.

Managing the Picard family estates since 2007, Francine Picard, Michel's daughter, has taken it upon herself to massively restructure the 35-hectare Au Pied du Mont Chauve vineyard. Situated in Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet, Au Pied du Mont Chauve refers to the nickname given to the hillside of the famous Montrachet. Au Pied du Mont Chauve offers no fewer than twenty prestigious climats, including Les Demoiselles, Les Caillerets, En Remilly... In a desire for synergy between the terroir and the resulting wine, the vines have been cultivated biodynamically without certification for many years, and the vinification process is as natural as possible. Chiselled, delicate and expressive, Au Pied du Mont Chauve wines are veritable jewels of precision, with perfectly controlled ageing revealing a fresh density and rare elegance on the palate.

"A most elegant Saint-Aubin, both straight and rich, balanced by a beautiful acidity".

"Les Picards farm 2.8 ha of this climat planted with Chardonnay and Pinot. Here, the red side is honored with a lovely deep ruby wine, with an elegant nose of wild strawberry, vanilla and mocha. On the palate, the attack is straightforward, followed by a round, fruity (red fruit) and long finish, supported by silky tannins. A Saint-Aubin that highlights the finesse of the appellation". "A delicate, round 1er cru".

"Suave attack and well-calibrated tension". (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve). Over time, this deep, delicate white becomes rounder and fatter, with lemony touches that awaken the palate.
