Wine Spectator
"The 2016 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru unfolds in the glass with a youthful bouquet of crisp green orchard fruit, lemon oil, smoke and beeswax. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, delicately textured and incisive, with tangy acids, good core concentration and a long, precise finish. With its racy profile, it's built for the cellar" (Wine Advocate 2019) - Wooden crate delivery on orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 17.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Great refinement of texture, noble extension, subtle tension, great Charlemagne combining power and finesse.
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.
