"Pleasant intensity"

Draped in a satiny ruby color, this cuvée will amaze you with its bewitching notes of blackberry, violet and rose. On the palate, a hint of pepper adds structure, intensity and balance. To be enjoyed young or aged.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

Bertrand Bachelet, a young winemaker since 2011, heads up this 13-hectare estate spread from Maranges to Pommard. Sustainable viticulture and cordon de Royat are de rigueur here, as are massal selections developed on the estate's oldest vines. A range characterized by wines with ripe, intense fruit. The reds, which account for the vast majority of production, are vinified de-stemmed in concrete vats and boast silky tannins, while the whites, without bâtonnage, offer roundness and juicy, honeyed orchard fruit aromas.
