Domaine Bertrand Bachelet
This 13-hectare family estate was taken over in 2011 by Bertrand Bachelet, following in the footsteps of his father, Jean-Louis. He represents the fourth generation of a line of Burgundy winegrowers. Today, Bertrand manages 13 hectares of vineyards spread across the Côte de Beaune, from Maranges to Pommard. The estate is based in Dezize-les-Maranges, one of the three villages in the Maranges appellation. This appellation represents the estate's largest production.

With passion, Bertrand Bachelet carries on the family tradition, with the aim of producing top-quality wines, using the latest techniques in modern viticulture and oenology. The aim is to make the most of each terroir to produce a range of rich, diversified wines. Emphasis is placed on meticulous work in the vines to obtain healthy grapes, essential for the production of great wines. In order to best express each terroir, great importance is attached to working the soil. From pruning to harvesting, all work on the Bertrand Bachelet estate is carried out by hand. Vinification remains traditional, with little intervention, to best reveal the singularity and complexity of each of our terroirs.

Thus, in its beautiful golden color, the wine displays a fresh, slightly roasted nose. The palate is captivated by aromas of almonds and hazelnuts and a certain smoothness combined with freshness. With a few years' ageing, the wine will evolve towards a truffle-like aromatic profile.
