Château d'Etroyes
Since 1720, the Protheau family has owned Château D'Etroyes in the heart of Mercurey. Initially a mixed farming operation, Château d'Etroyes turned its attention to vineyard work in 1905, when François Protheau developed a wine merchant business. Since then, Château d'Etroyes has continued to grow and evolve in favor of the wine business. In 1996, the new generation took over the reins of the estate and decided to put an end to the wine merchant business, devoting themselves solely to family production.

The vineyard extends over 50 hectares between Mercurey and Rully, including 10 hectares of Premier Cru spread over 5 climats. Since 2002, Château d'Etroyes has been committed to a "lutte raisonnée" approach to winegrowing, in line with their belief in greater respect for the environment and tradition. The estate offers a very wide range of Côte Chalonnaise appellations, highlighting the diversity of the Château d'Etroyes parcels.

This no-fuss but full-flavored Burgundy is a pleasure to savor! Its garnet-red color suggests lightness. With finesse, we savor an aromatic Pinot Noir with a nose of English candy and a palate of crunchy red fruits and clove on the finish. Accompanied by fine charcuterie or as an aperitif, this Côte Chalonnaise is a formidable purveyor of pleasure!

Pale gold in color. The bouquet is fruity with citrus notes. This Bourgogne Aligoté will surprise you with its buttery aspect, balanced with the liveliness typical of the grape variety. This original Aligoté stimulates the taste buds! It's the perfect accompaniment to dishes such as white fish or poultry with cream sauce.

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette

"This 2015 comes from young vines hand-harvested at the very beginning of September, destemmed and macerated for a fortnight. Its majestic ruby color blends red fruits (cherry and raspberry) with peppery notes, nuanced with vanilla, licorice and menthol. Harmony is already present on the palate: rich, full-bodied, supported by silky tannins and a persistent finish. Concentration and the nobility of the terroir are the hallmarks of this bottle made for laying down". ( Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)
