"The progress is remarkable and still places the 2021 in the appellation's top three (B+D)".
"It has an extra breed compared with Mercurey in the appellation communale. The palate is complex, racy and delicate". (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve). This Mercurey 1er cru, with its brilliant ruby color, reveals a highly aromatic nose of black fruit and floral notes, accompanied by minerality. Fine and elegant, the palate is generous and structured.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (guide 2024) 92/100
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
It displays an extra breed compared to Mercurey in the appellation communale. Complex, racy and delicate on the palate.
About the domain :
The Domaine de Suremain is probably one of the most surprising estates of recent years. Blessed with Mercurey's finest premier cru climats, Loïc de Suremain, assisted by his parents Yves and Marie-Hélène, manages the 18-hectare estate. Particular attention to respecting the terroirs gives different Mercureys with distinct typicity and nuance. Loïc, who is passionate about viticulture, strives to develop his wines towards greater fruitiness and homogeneity, through a true understanding of his soils. The winery has been completely renovated and enlarged, and the wines are increasingly precise, with zero faults in our blind tastings. The progress is remarkable, and still places 2021 in the appellation's top three.
