"Indispensable for your cellar
"A chamomile note joins lemon notes on the juicy mirabelle plum nose of this wine. The palate adds bright, aromatic notes of green greengage and almond. All this aromatic intensity unfolds against a backdrop of chalky texture framed by brightness and freshness. A fine achievement for 2018, the wine has balance, concentration, texture and elegance." (Wine Enthusiast 2020) A Pouilly-Fuissé not to be missed!

About the domain :
Dom. de la Croix Senaillet was founded in 1969 by Maurice Martin, who gradually abandoned mixed farming in favor of vines. In 1990, his son Richard took over the family estate, before being joined by his brother Stéphane in 1992. The property, initially 6.5 ha, has grown to 25 ha today, spread over 52 parcels that have been certified organic since 2010. Building on their experience, in 2015 the brothers acquired Dom. de Mont Épin in Clessé (13 ha).

About the wine:
70-year-old Chardonnay, certified organic on 1.20 ha, with 4 parcels in the communes of Fuissé and Solutré, on Jurassic limestone and marl soils, facing south and northeast. Deliberately low yields. Slow alcoholic fermentation in demi-muids and 228 L barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation, with 10 months ageing on fine lees. Pale gold color with subtle green highlights. Rich and straightforward, already open and ready to drink, with lovely vivacity. Full-bodied and opulent, with a framework of tension and a clean, slightly chewy finish. 13%. Drink from 2020 to 2026.
