Domaine Thibert
Created in 1967 by Andrée and René Thibert, the Domaine Thibert covers 2.5ha.

Now run by their children, Christophe and Sandrine, the Domaine Thibert vineyard covers a dozen appellations, mainly white, including Macon-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Pouilly-Fuissé.

In 2005, the Thibert family invested in the construction of a new winery to accommodate the gradual expansion of the estate.

Pure and crystalline, this Pouilly-Loché also expresses freshness. From a rather sunny area, the wine is fine and subtle, with a light woodiness. A singular sensation of harmony and delicacy invades the palate, it's tight, the minerality still outshines the wine. Simply superb!

"From vines that produced tiny berries, the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras opens in the glass with scents of crisp yellow apple, citrus oil, hazelnut, almond and mint. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's deep and concentrated, with lively acidity and a long, saline finish." (Wine Advocate 2021)

"The 2017 Saint-Véran Bois de Fée blends notes of citrus oil, crisp green apple and Anjou pear with an elegant patina of marzipan and vanilla bean. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with lovely acidity and a long, saline finish, the tasting went very well." (Wine Advocate 2021) A high-flying cuvée.

Once again, the Thiberts reveal their expertise and the richness of the Mâcon terroir in this vintage crémant brut. Produced from south-facing plots at 330m, this altitude gives it a nose as fine as it is elegant. Vinified using the traditional method, the Chardonnay, aged for such a long time, produces a bubble that is both rich and fine. Fine, balanced, silky, impossible to resist.

(2015 vintage notes)

Intense, fine, charming nose of citrus fruit and flowers. The wine has all the richness and elegance you'd expect from a Saint-Véran, with a background of fresh citrus and fine minerality.
