A very pretty Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru, opening on the nose with notes of red and black fruits, with a floral nuance evoking violets, and a hint of spice. The palate is subtly liquorice, intense and complex, with a fine structure. A must-try!

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France

Domaine rated (2014 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

"Bruno Clair makes classic Burgundies that are young, lively and razor-sharp; they are often only understood after a few years' cellaring. They are immediately recognizable by their purity and long finish. The domaine has highlighted the terroirs of Marsannay as well as a fine series of Gevrey-Chambertins, including the magnificent Clos Saint-Jacques and the domaine's masterpiece: the elegant and refined Chambertin Clos de Bèze. The lesser-known whites are just as remarkable. The estate's consistency is commendable.
