Champagne Gosset
Maison Gosset produces its champagnes according to a charter of excellence that guarantees connoisseurs of fine wines the very best quality. Harvesting for Champagne Gosset is carried out by hand, in collaboration with carefully selected winegrowers. Vinification and blending give the wines their own distinctive style, with the balance and taste that make Maison Gosset one of today's finest Champagne houses.

Special features of Gosset Champagne

Gosset's main distinctive feature is that it does not undergo malolactic fermentation. This second fermentation follows alcoholic fermentation, transforming malic acid into lactic acid. Its aim is to soften the wine and make it less acidic.
Maison Gosset carefully avoids malolactic fermentation on its Antique, Celebris and Héritage wine varieties. The result: Gosset Champagne wines full of lively aromas and freshness, expressing the authenticity of their terroir.
Gosset Champagne is also distinguished by its bottles, first created in 1760. Who doesn't know this slender bottle with its bouncing sides from the entire Antique range? This prestigious range includes Gosset Champagne brut "Grande Réserve Brut", Gosset blanc de blanc "Grand Blanc de Blanc Brut" and "Grand Rosé Brut". The collar on the neck of the bottle identifies the Gosset champagne from the rest.

Gosset Champagne's flagship products

Grande Réserve Brut
It is the flagship of the Maison Gosset, embodying its racy, subtle style. Its composition is :
45% Chardonnay with delicate notes of mirabelle plum and peach.
45% Pinot Noir which gives it a nice acidity.
10% Pinot Meunier, which blends into the whole, giving it tastes and flavors of white flowers and citrus fruit.
Its beautiful, luminous golden color invites softness and suavity, while offering character. All these characteristics make Cuvée Grande Réserve Brut a wine dedicated to gastronomy, and the perfect accompaniment to poultry dishes, seafood, oysters and strong-tasting cheeses.

The Celebris range

This is Maison Gosset's range of excellence, which is cellared for 10 years and undergoes no malolactic fermentation, just classic vinification. Its low dosage of 3 g/l makes it ideally balanced between vinosity, freshness and fruitiness. Its pale yellow color is enhanced by a discreet string of bubbles. Celebris Vintage 2007 instantly expresses complex aromas of toast, smoke and hazelnut, while gradually revealing notes of spice and mint. This is a wine for haute gastronomie, ideal for accompanying fish or white meat dishes, as well as classic dishes such as grilled langoustines or oysters.

Well-deserved awards for Gosset Champagne

Maison Gosset has received well-deserved awards for its undeniable expertise and the quality of its wines.

The French Excellence Trophy

The trophy was awarded in 2010 in recognition of the work undertaken over many years by the Gosset family, which was then taken over by the Cointreau family.

The "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label

With this label, awarded to Maison Gosset in 2013, the French government recognizes the excellent craftsmanship of Champagne Gosset.

"The House's signature cuvee is a beautiful, full-bodied, racy wine that's ideal for the festive season!

"Freshness, tenderness and fruity aromas, everything we love is in place. The acidity dominates in a classic material in the good sense of the word, pleasant and carried to the finish by a salivating bitterness. Everything you'd expect from a BSA: to make you want to have more..." (Le Gault & Millau 2024).

"Original and unmissable!"

"Notes of tangerine, peach, white flowers and wheat toast foreshadow the latest interpretation of Gosset's Grand Rosé, a medium- to full-bodied, mellow and charming wine with a fleshy core of fruit, chalky structure and tart freshness. Elegantly vinous and flavorful, this is a great success." (Wine Advocate 2021). A benchmark champagne for lovers of great rosé champagnes!

"A real invitation to gourmet delights".

" An extra-dry UFO in the Champagne galaxy that Gosset has made its specialty: notes of roasted citrus in chutney, ginger powder and a string of red fruits, each more aromatic than the last. An assertive definition, which we love for its comforting, cajoling side". (Le Guide Gault & Millau 2023)

"The latest version of Gosset's Grand Blanc de Blancs reveals youthful aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and almond paste. The structure of this Champagne suggests that it should develop gracefully in the cellar." (Wine Advocate 2021) A very fine gourmet Champagne!
